Zoning

Statutes:

The municipal zoning statutes are codified in Chapter 211 of the Texas Local Government Code.

Resources:

  • The Texas Municipal League Q&A on Zoning.
  • Bastrop, Texas recently completely overhauled its unified development code and created the Bastrop Building Block (B3) Code. It is an interesting approach to updating a UDC city-wide and worth a look if you are interested in a new approach to zoning.
